To answer your question....no.

To add a little mystery, I've got a Timbersled intake for sale. $100 plus shipping. Saves 8 pounds. Actually, I'm going to have a lot of lightweight parts for sale off an M1000. PM me if interested. I've got the sled advertised in the Cat section and it lists all the aftermarket stuff.....I'm trading it in this fall for a 2012 M8, so I'm putting it back to it's stock form.

With an just an aftermarket or modified box, will I need retune it with a boondocker or control box? Don't have one now, don't want to put one on just to get more air into the box. Thoughts?

I believe for 07 year m1000 you will need to run a fuel controller with after market air box. On my 09 m1000 I changed y-pipe and can to D&D I am safe but I was told if I change air box I would need to run a boondocker. for 07 & 08 M1000 if you changed the y-pipe you had to run a boondocker!

I have ran my 07 M1K with a Timbersled Airbox with both flashes and do not use a boondocker with zero issues. I also have a l/w muffler. Each sled is different and results vary but if you are only adding a air box you should not need a fuel controler.
