This is quite a mess what is going on in Afghanistan. Now there is a major rush to get everyone out. They will have some fun trying to get even some of the people out before the airport is taken over by the Taliban. Since this map was made the other day they got Mazar-I-Sharif too. They got this city surrounded, all the borders blocked.

Hopefully it is not the demonrats up to their old tricks, getting the americans mad, so when they attack this country again the people are happy they did. Demonrats love their wars.

It a shame what is going on over there but it was inevitable it would turn back. A lot of good people helped the strategies of the troops sent over there. Move the good ones to a region the level the rest. Feel for the ones that just want some sort of reasonable life.

FOX reporting this morning that the Taliban is marching into Kabul uncontested today. Afghanistan has fallen totally in just a few weeks. It will be only hours before flights out will be cancelled as the risk of passenger and troop carrying jets will be at risk of being shot down by shoulder fired missiles. What a pathetic mess.

Afghan President has fled the country. US embassy staff almost all out of country but 18,000 Afghans who helped them have still not left. Biden is taking it on the chin even from CNN this morning for totally missing the boat on this. Word is he thought he had a deal with Taliban to stay out of Kabul until the Americans evacuated and the Taliban have not held to that agreement. What leadership he has shown. Americans must be proud.

Jake Tapper from CNN is absolutely roasting Secretary of State Antony Blinken for the governments response to this crisis. Blinken is blaming Trump for everything. Is Blinken related to Justin Trudeau? Sounds about the same bull chit

Perfect now they can start a war and blame Trump for the war they started. Well at least USA and 4 years free from wars with Trump at the helm, love how he ended the war that was about to start with N korea when he took office.

Why is this an American issue? Seems like a afgan issue
I think a lot of it is on the Americans misreading how capable the Afghan security forces were to fight the Taliban. With no US intelligence and airpower they lost their spine and just caved. I honestly can see both sides in that why should Americans fight for Afghans freedom if Afghans won't fight for their own freedom? Sadly women and children are being rounded up and distributed to Taliban fighters as sex slaves, anyone loyal to the coalition forces are being murdered as well as their families and 20 years of coalition blood has been swept under the rug. Not a good look for America. The US has lost a lot of credibility on the world stage since Biden took power. Don't think China and Russia have taken notice? China and Russia have both announced they will recognize the Taliban as the legitimate govt of Afghanistan and will work with them they say.

The war was destined to fail from the start. Failing to lean on Pakistan to close the border to the taliban and to stop tacitly supporting them, then continually escalating rules of engagement to the point that they needed either legal approval and/or permission from the Pakistani government to hit terrorist targets in their territory. If you’re gonna send in the military to take care of the bad guys, give them full rein. Don’t tie one hand behind their backs. Vietnam revisited. We’re about to witness butchery on a massive scale. Another demonstration of how peaceful and loving the practitioners of Islam are.

So now it will the USA vs China in a war fought in Afghanistan by "coalition forces" made up of the world's smallest militaries back by the two world's largest super powers all over some bad bat soup and man's ability to distribute every $7.99 plastic POS that's ever been manufactured.

Am I close?

So are they still flying planes into the airport or are they getting everything out quickly. Wont be good when the Taliban are shooting down passenger jets with there over the shoulder rockets. Recent media photos of the airport show lots of planes, helicopters all over the place. Went on google earth and pulled up the satellite views I was surprised on how large the city of Kabul is.

Fox had reported gunfire at the airport earlier. Supposedly the main concentration of US troops are at the airport now. The US and French embassies are operating there trying to coordinate evacuations of their people.

My god people clinging to the plane after it took off were falling thousands of feet to the ground as wind shear knocked them off. What a dire situation
