Advice on Skid Shocks

I need to change out the shocks on my rear skid ( '08 Rev XP Summit Everest ) I don't want to spend a fortune, I was thinking of getting a pair of HPG rebuildables for an X and put it on mine. My question is this; when they advertise these shocks, they don't have the coil on the front shock with these, and I can't recall ever noticing on my friends 'X' if he had a coil on his or not. Do they need them? When I order I want to make sure I get everything that I need.

The front skid shock has a spring, the rear shock does not. I have a front X shock off of my 08 as I put update kit in.PM me if interested.
