Even though they are skiers it is a true story that delivers invaluable technical information about Avys.

A must watch if you go into the back country, worth the 30 min...great points near the end we all need to take heed of.

for threads like this i really wish i didnt live in the boonies with only access to phdhppppppfffffsfsf dial up, it would take me a year to download a vid like that.

Group of skiers in the mnts over new years. snowing big time.
go out of the dense trees, one guy was a avy specilist
was a slide. most were cought in, one guy died and another lost his leg.
left on the mnt over night before could get rescued.

Good vid Todd! Thanks for posting it was a great one to watch! I especially like the rule that if one guy in your group feels uncomfortable the group moves on to something else. I think theres a lot of testosterone on the hill and someone can easily feel pressured into doing something your uncomfortable with.

That said unless you got some big kahunas you would never see the back side of Allen right! Lol unless of course your with your caring knowledgable tour guides! :d
