My dealer just phoned and has a backed out on 850 summit x 154 2.5 but i really want a 3 does any buddy no if it is a simple track swap on the 850s? Or is there more to it then that? Anybody got the specs on gearing 2.5 vs 3.0? Any other words of wisdom for the swapp? Thanks all

Should be a simple track swap. Same driver size. I would look at the camso conquer 2.8 15 wide and even lighter than stock doo track

Not sure why any doo guy would put a 15 wide track on instead of a 16 wide...... maybe if you stay out of the deep pow and enjoy being stuck all day

yes i agree with turbotech, the summit works great with 16 track,so why go to a 15. imo putting a 15 in and not a flex edge your also taking away from the handling of the sled, the flex edge and t-motion work great together

Flex edge is a marketing gimmick . Helps on the warm shop cement floor .
T motion helps .
Nothing wrong with a 15 wide 2.8 inch.

The stock 3" is awesome, but I would love to ride this 2.8 and compare! In the 3.5 pitch 165, it is said to weigh only 45lbs!! Steve says in his comments on the FB video post that it is 10lbs lighter than stock.

Has anyone weighed a stock 165 3" track?

as pfi posted the flex edge is marketing pitch but how many people took and installed t-motion in a xp sled, did it work as good as the sleds with t-motion and flex edge. in super deep fresh powder the track may not flex, but with few inches of fresh on hard pack yes the track flexes. one guy we ride with put t-motion in a xp and it helped the sled but never had the full effect as both combined together. still imo keep the summit with 16" for the deep powder days.
