I like my new 800. It's a 153 and it works great.
The only thing I don't like about the 4 strokes is if you roll your sled, and it stay running upside down, that motor is going to be toast in 10 seconds. A 2 stroke won't like it either but it's going to be a bit more forgiving.
That being said, I would still like to try the 1100 turbo.

4 stroke will shut off automatically when oil pressure drops from being upside down.

Ok cool! I didn't know if it would keep running like my 800. Mine was upside down for a good 15 seconds with the throttle wide open. I wish these newer sleds came with tether cords. Thanks for the info!

thether cord is the answer. 2 or 4 stroke. I put a tether on all my sleds.

I've got the M1100T, awesome power: but, if you are a smaller guy it might be a little much for you, it is heavier for sure on the flats. And feels light when you pin it climbing!

The question is do you want to run race fuel. A 2 stroke 800 with a turbo will need race fuel to get close to 220hp. a m1100 with a box will run 230-240 on pump gas. I like the idea of filling up at the local pumps. The 1100 is heavier though so I won't want on if I was 160lbs. The power on the 4stroke is so smooth. I would say ride a 1100 first and see if you can get used to the extra weight.

What ever you do, don't limit yourself! If you decide on the 800, put on a RG turbo and then just run it where you'd like for power, in the future bumping up the power\fuel is way easier.

Install a tether and use it - cheaper then a new engine. For the type of riding you're talking about, I think the 800 in a 153 will be a better choice - certainly more nimble in the trees.

i had a 2009 m1000 153 and i didn't like the 153 it was not enough track for me, so i would take a 162 or a 153, i got no trouble moving my 162 in the trees so i well stay with a 162.
