The HO is comparable to a 700 and fuel consumption is near the same, both are strong runners. The deciding factor for me would be which one has less miles and better shape.

I'd go with the HO. It will also save you some cash in case you have a few unexpected issues!

You probably can't go wrong with either but I have found the sdi engines to be a bit stronger. My parents have two, my buddy has one and my uncle has one and no issues with the sdi. In my opinion the 600 in terms of performance and reliability is one of the best motors ski-doo makes. To me I would pay the extra 1000 to have 2 pull starts and to not have to clean carbs every year. Also another bonus with the sdi is when you lay it on it's lid you dont have to pull it over a bunch of times becuase it's flooded.

I have an 04 800HO and an 07 600SDI. The 600 is the wife's but the few times I've ridden it I've been really impressed. More snap to the 800 of course but the 600 has a nice smooth acceleration and the SDI is nice when you go from 3500ft to 7000ft. Both IMO are nice sleds however.

For what it is worth, my wife's 04 Summit X 600 H.O. would give stock 151 and 159" Rev 800's a good run for thier money. It was scary fast for a 600 out of the box - doo must have screwed something up when they built it, cause it was trouble free, reliable, and always ran like a scalded dog. I bought and sold two 800's (an 04 159 x and an 05 151 x) cause I figured there was something wrong with them - that 600 was that good.
