it doesn't really make a difference does it. Alberta(Western Canada) lost and lost big. we have just seen our worst nightmare come true. possible Lib and NDP coalition, not much to look forward too.

it was Scheers election to lose, and lose he did.

Problem is you cant get elected to government on facebook. You have to do the election thingy that went down tonight.

And you will all just vote CPC again anyways, even if sheer wants to move 4 refugees into your house. lmao

Another 4 years for Trudeau to import 400,000 immigrants per year and subsequent votes when they are eligible... Canada will be another Great Britain soon if we aren’t lucky.

Well, Trudeau just showed what a pompous ass he really is......

Scheer was 2 minutes into his concession speech and who walks onto the Liberal stage?....yup, what disrespect! What a way to start the new term by silencing the leader of the opposition....
What ever happened to being civil and letting each person make their speeches and the leader then speaks LAST?

Canada is MORE DIVIDED now than ever before!!!!

You wont be spared in the upcoming civil war.
No Nfl team preference, can’t name all the teams. No NBA team preference, can’t name all the teams. No Mlb team favorite, can’t name all the teams. No political party preference, can’t name all the parties. The above is key to low blood pressure.

Riddle me this.

It's called first past the post. All the alternatives that have been proposed over the years just confuse people. The loser of every election whines about it, then promises a change at the next election then they get in power and do nothing to change it. Rinse-wash-repeat. The popular vote means nothing, never has, probably never will. While it should be an interesting statistic, it gets sensationalized in the media for some reason (oh, because they like to stir **** up.) And it's not something that is "Canada only", this is an issue everywhere in the world.

I should add, the current system of determining sizes of each riding was setup by conservative governments, first set up by Mulroney's cronies and then updated again by Harper et al. (Just to nip any liberal gerrymandering conspiracies right away).

Now we wait and see if a coalition is formed.

hmm, looks like a country severely divided, going to be a rough road ahead.

When you start looking at riding by riding results in Ontario, had all the PPC ballots give to CPC candidates, the Liberals would be down several seats and the results would be a whole lot different. Its like deja vu to the Alberta election in 2015.

Maybe, but even a conservative minority would be a uphill battle. If you are fully invested in the oil and gas sector buckle up. All the company’s that were just skimming by for the last year waiting for Kenny, waiting for federal election will move or close the doors. Many of them have already done this through out Alberta.
