2010 m8, added some HP now sled is hitting 8400RPM

Soo just wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue?
I added Boysen Rage Cages this year, no joke my sled revs higher now!
Running stock secondary, Was rebuilt this year,
Primary is in good shape
I had stock 68g weights and stock yellow\white spring, hit 8450 at Renshaw
Added 70g cat weights, still revs at 8350
Went to softer spring, speedwerx 116/267, still at 8300
Tried 72g weights on flatground, still saw 8300 and midrange was sluggish
Any remedies to get her down to 8100ish?
Seems like it is in the secondary?
Will try a new belt soon

You said rebuilt secondary? Did you use same colour spring or different. Might be a stiffer one in there.

Ya made sure I got the exact same secondary orange spring. Was wondering if I got a dud though?
Update: it wasnt ideal snow conditions for testing but,
Ran stock yellow\white spring, 72g weights, Same stock secondary
Installed new 046 belt, Sled ran much better. Seeing 3800 engagement and I think i saw 8150-8200 top end. No lag in the midrange. She pulled real hard! Was surprised actually
Was hard to see the gauge at WOT!
Im hoping to get out to the mountain in the next couple of weeks, hopefully it doesn't under rev.

I put on a Speedwerx muffler, Rage Cages, Ceramic coated the stock pipe, had SLP intake and added some Flow Rites. Very happy with the gains and responsiveness! I rode a etec and have to say this Cat has wayy more snap on the trigger!

I added a bunch of goodies onto my sled as well last year, and found that by changing up to the 060 belt, ( for the m1000) pulled my rpm down to acceptable levels. also, have only blown one belt since I did this.
