2010 m1000 with slp exhuast clutching options

I recently picked up an slp exhaust system for my 2010 m1000, y-pipe, pipe, can, and boondocker controller. I was curious as to what clutch setup works best with this exhaust system. I usually ride in the Valemount, Blue River, and Sicamous areas.

I would suggest a set of adjustable weights 75/85 gram I perfer the ones from Cutlers looks only as I am running Cat ones. Currently I run the same SLP pipe / y combo . I use a 36 degree M7 helix and white spring and 83 grams of weight. It was running 7300 to 7400 at Valemont should be 7650 ish adjustable weights would have been nice. It still worked good but there was more to be had. I went through the first belt with the M7 cluthing at 1200 miles. To do this cheaper I would get a spring with the same start finish as the M7 white 110/260 and use your current helix. The stock orange spring 175/280 I found poor performance and hard on belts. hope this helps

You could try keeping your stock weights in. The pipe makes power at a higher rpm than stock. I think stock rpm is 7300. The pipe might bring you up to 7600-7800 where i think slp wants you to run there pipe.

Thats right where you want to be 7600 to 7800, adjustable weights and a torional clutch kit is a good choice

Where are you guys getting your torsional kits? Looking at the RK Tek not sure who sells them locally. and what helix angle

I have a helix, weights and white spring for your machine and im trying to get rid of. PM if you want it. Have all those pipes and boondocker box for sale too. Too bad coulda saved u $1000.00 . lol. Got Boss seat and some other stuff. Let me know
