1. I need to do my front axles, will I need a front end alignment after ?

2. I also need upper ball joints. Should I do the upper control arm/ball joint assembly, or ball joints only. I know alignment here.

3. Thinking about going to GM to buy factory parts.

Axles (assuming the CV shafts), no you don't need an alignment.

Price check the difference, but I'd probably do the entire arm, bushings get done that way. IIRC you also need to install a cam kit at that time for the alignment to be done, if it hasn't been installed already.

With my Ford I buy parts at Ford, I've had real terrible luck over the last few years with aftermarket parts. Maybe someone can recommend an aftermarket brand that isn't total junk.

I've seen a couple of neighbors come home with aftermarket parts, open the box and say.......... WTF?!?!?!?

Buy the complete arms with pressed in ball joint. This suckers are a PIA to get out. I have a 10 that I just did them on and used GM parts.
