Is there a fix for the amount of fuel I use. The truck has a 3 inch lift with 305's on. It also has a bullydog installed. I have 49,000 km on it. I am getting 22 liters per 100kms. Just wondering If i put an after market exhaust will that help. My brother has a 2010 dodge and is getting .13-14 liters per 100kms. stock.

Get rid of the stock exhaust and DPF regens. I am running EFI live with 4" exhaust and get 13-15l per 100km driving 140km/h. Should get better in summer.

Something doesn't seem right, stock I was getting around 14-15 unloaded highway with my 2009. With DPF deleted and EFI live tow tune it dropped a little now it's back to 14-15 with winter fuel and cold weather.

I would also say do a DPF delete with turbo back exhaust. Best way to gain some mileage. The Duramax also seems to like about a 60HP tune for the best mileage.

305's and lift don't help. Has your speedo been calibrated to the larger tires? How much idling is it doing?

i went from 265's to 285's and at 100km/hr on the speedo im actually going 108 km/hr on my gps which is bad for fuel economy... which means i travel 500 kms on the odometer i have to add 8 kms for every 100kms traveled so i actually went 540 kms, which makes your fuel mileage better!

your motor is still breaking in a bit. but the lift and the larger tires are very bad for fuel economy. you also didnt say how you drive it, highway? city? oilfield? or if you have a lead foot

fyi i have 2006 duramax with a 2 inch lift and 285's. i get 11.7 liters/100km empty @ 110 km/hr. 20 liters/100km when pulling a 30 ft gooseneck @ 100km/hr

Is that hand calculated or going by the lie-o-meter?

I know when I first bought my f350, the best I was ever getting was 15ish...did the intake, exhaust and dpf delete and was as low as 8 at one point...usually 10 or 11. With the 37s now I am getting about 15-16 with 2 sleds on the deck.

The 305's and the lift definatley dont help but you have something going on here that is not right. i have an 08 with 100k on it , bone stock no mods and i am averaging around 11 L/100km without a trailer and about 14.5- 15 with a 2 place and 2 sleds.

I have an 08 with programmer, exhaust , and intake, 2" lift and 285's and I get about 12-13l/100km unloaded and pulling my 35' holiday trailer @110km/hr I get 20-23l/100km's. Yours seems abnormally high, when mine was still stock with the lift and tires I would see 15-16l/100km.
I also heard that the bully dog is not a very good programmer? EFI sounds like the best for Dmax but I run edge race evo. and its awesome.
Does your mileage get better if you go back to stock?
