2009 800 air box mods

Did you ever experience any gurgling or burpling from 5 to 6 k rpm's, it dosnt bog but sounds sort of fat at that rpm range. It clears as soon as you pin it but i dont remember it being there before.

Bet its lean right there and that's the noise. Not rich.

That's the lean spot is the 5500 range.

Those pod filters can be hit an miss, I'd first rich up your needles and if that still not doing it put the stock intake back on. Pods don't have the air volume like the box does. I'll try to find this posting on pod filters on the net awhile ago, think it was on doo talk maybe. It was a really good post about them.

I was told that if the gurgling isnt holding the performance back not to worry about it, to richen up the needle do you move the clip down on the needle? I know i tossed the shim for the needle when i put the 07 needles in, and i guess that was the correct thing to do, its not needed.
I just ordered the extreme vents for the top of the dash and also a vent for the left side, im going to throw a couple 2 inch holes in the air box and the one up on top of the dash.
