2008 honda Rubicon revers problem

yo, ok, lol dads 08 honda Rubicon just hit 5500 kms and theres a bit of a problem that i would like to solve for him!!
Ok, i dont know how or why it started but it did.......

week ago i started it up, put it in revers and it started to make a poping noise..... (like when you start it in gear with out applying the hand brakes!) it works hundred % in drive but you put in revers and its over!
i cant figure out what it is but maybe one of you guys can help!!
It also wont start in revers and you cant go over 4km an hour!!

The gear indicator on the speedo should be flashing if it is going in limp mode. The number of quick flashes is code. Multiply codes are separated by a longer flash. There is a thread in the Honda section that decipers the code number and reset procedures.

No it dose nothing like that!! nothing changes on the display
