I have just complete the 141" to 151" upgrade to my sons 700 RMK.

It was fairly easy, rail extension went in quickly, the drivers and track replacement went well and the tunnel extension was quite easy. We had it out over Christmas and were surprised how much better it got up on the snow.
Were out in Golden this weekend and will determine if we need to change the gearing.
On the last photo you can see how much longer the new track and extension are compared to the old set up. For the record, this sled started out in 1999 as a 136" x 2" track.
It's an upgrade I would recommend.

Tunnel Extension $150.00
LED Tail Light $40.00

So basically that means it would take me and my dad a saturday and a sunday cuz nothing ever goes right for us! and i guess a tunnel extension and a 151" track for 250 $ is a good deal? lol.

Yes, you got a good deal on parts...it took me a few datys as well because nothing ever goes as planned.
Yes, summitric lent me his wheels because they are slightly larger and for some reason my extensions required a larger wheel.
Your also correct abut the drop bracket, but that was done when the sled went from 136 to 141 along with moving the suspension back about 3".
As far as gearing goes, I haven't changed anything yet, I will address that after this next trip and once I find out how the RPM's have been effected.

You beat me to that one Summitric:rant:

Good on you. You'll really enjoy that sled now that the 151 track is in place.

When possible you should try to remain at 9 tooth (better rolling resistance). I should have gone ot extroverts when it was out.

Sledbunny, I should have joined earlier. I have a set of Wildchild 136-151 extensions for the Xtra10, tunnel extension, longer bumper and 18T top gear with 68 pitch chain sitting in my garage. I put mine back to 136 before I sold it (I speared the 151" track).

I started with a 144 which I really liked, but never got the 151 perfectly set up before wrecking the track. The rear scissor arms on stock 151 sleds are different than the 136. I am a heavier rider, and tried the HD polaris rear springs(waste of money).

If anyone needs these parts, just let me know.

Rail Extensions $40
Silver Tunnel Extension $20
Yellow Edge Long Bumper $20
18T Top Gear $20 (used one season, about 800 miles)
68 pitch chain $30 same mileage

I just had a buddy extend my 1999 rmk 700 from 136" to 151" and the skid is not piviting properly. What should the distance inbetween mounts be? Are drop brackets required?
The skid looks colapsed and the rear of the rails do not lay flat on the ground they are 1.5" up in the air. When you lift the back end here is no droop at all the track comes off the ground immediatly and when you jump on the sled it only compresses an inch or so.
