Thought I would post a report after living with our 19 ZR200 for a few months. To date, we have around 2 dozen tanks of fuel through the machine. We still have a 06 ZR120 that is close to stock, and previously had a Z120 with a GX200 in it and rear suspension upgrade.
Ergowise, the machine fots our bigger than average 6yo much better than our 120's did. He sits higher, mpre upright, and generally looks more comfortable. Machine came with handwarmers which surprisingly work really well, much better than the warmers I put on the 120.
I went through the machine tip to tail before riding and had to do a bit of front end alignment. Ski alignment was good, but camber and toe in/out were funky. Easy adjustments and machine seems to handle alot less squirrley. Rear suspension adjustments are pretty simple with preload adjust only.
To make the jump a little smaller from the 120, I used a hose clamp to limit the throttle. I have the machine detuned to about 15-18mph right now. Machine has alot left yet. I've pulled the clamp off and with me at a bit more than 200lbs my vbox shows a top speed of 26mph and it gets there quick with skis in the air on takeoff.
Machine seems to handle bumps well. Longer track seems to make ot alot less bouncy but doesn't appear to limit the handling. With the rear suspension at max preload surprisingly I can sit on the machine and only sag it a few inches.
Its decent on fuel but sucks it more than the 120 by a fair bit.
I bought a 19 because I wanted elec start. Started works good but it's pretty noisy. Motor is a hard starter
It likes it's choke. Doesn't take long for the machine to sit and require choke to start it again. Even with choke, seems like it wants a bit of throttle to get it going. I wouldn't trust my young guy to start it and not flood it. When cold, definately needs choke massaging to get idling.
Belt drive is significantly smoother and more controllable than the clutch on the 120 or the modded 120 we had. Like night and day. Motor surges less and is much easier to control. I've pulled 4 kids on individual toboggans in fresh snow without alot of issue.
Deep snow is no issue. Takes a pretty reasonable amount to get this thing stuck. When it does it's super easy to pop out.
Overall Cat/Yamaha haa really hit a homerun here. Very well done and I would buy another in a heartbeat.
