1995 kodiak 400 not shfting into gears

I have a 95 400 kodiak manual shift and it is not going into most of the lower gears and after moving the gear selector and I do get it into gear it will sometimes slip out. I only have (probably high gear) 1 forward gear, reverse works fine, and I have to keep moving the gear selector lever and rocking the quad to get it back into neutral.
