So I bought a sled this season, first time I've owned something newer then a 1977. I think it's a 2004 or 2005, not entirely sure, it's a 800cc with a 136" track. I want to install a 151" track. What's the best way to do this, purchase a used 151" skid?

Will any skid from a 2003-2007 rev be a direct bolt in?

Thanks for the help!!

Are you going to extend the tunnel,,, a skid might not bolt right in i am not sure of this ...you could measure the center to center of the bolt hole to check it will work... if you extend the tunnel make sure you buy the good rivits the stainless ones they are not cheap but work the best

Ok ya I'll measure center to center and see what it comes up with. I'll add a tunnel extension to it as well, should be pretty easy to bend up some tin and rivit it on.

I'm pretty sure that any skid, from late 03- 07 will bolt in. My old 04 HME had a factory 151 skid, with factory extension's.

Skid will bolt in. One from an 07 is a little bit better and lighter. Also watch your cooling after. You will end up with a short cooler.

Ok so I never thought about cooling... so proper tunnel extension and snow flap placement are needed for adequate cooling eh? anyone got an extension kicking around they'd like to sell?

a bit off topic, are these shocks worth rebuilding? how do I tell if they are rebuildable?
