12" or 14" rim size

I'm putting new tires on my 800 outty max and the dealer wants me to up grade to 14" rims what is the benefit of running 14 over 12.

Good thing i checked that thread out... might have forgotten to grease my muffler bearings...lol


Only reason to change would be for high speed riding or larger than 28" tires. Rule of thumb for offroading is that your rim should be less than half of your tire diameter.

I run 30" Zillas on 14" beadlocks so far so good. other than they rub too much.

I like 14's as well because it puts more clearance between the inside of the rim and the brake system. Makes it harder for stuff to get jammed in there.
