I am putting in my clutch kit and decided to gear down. I got a gear and took it apart thinking my stock chain should be a 104 and work. I put it in and looks like alot of slack, only about an 1/2 inch of thread left on my adjuster. Counted the links and it is a 106. Does this sound right to anyone? Do I need a 104?
Thanks

You can go two teeth on the top gear (small one) and use the stock chain. It will take up a good part of the adjustment screw. If you do more teeth you will need the smaller chain.

The chart says I should have a 104 in it, but the one I got is a 106

If you use the 106 it has a large dog leg - I went to a 104 - just alot of extra chain length there with the 106

You like the 19 or think it is too low, I wonder if a guy should go to a 20.

Ya I like the 19. Climbs way better and is slower going down hill. It all depends on what ur after 20 might be the best option for u
