I believe LBZ is referring to the pre-filter screen kit to cover the holes in the nose. Without it, snow will get in and your clutch will be wet. I noticed it when I was swapping my belt that the foam on the panel is soaked.

Actually I was wondering about both. If extra venting had been put it and if the stock vents were screened off.
I am positive the lack of a filter in the vents will result in snow getting in and turn to steam getting the clutch sheaves wet causing slippage and overheating of the belt and belt fade as well.

I had a lot of belt slipping and black marks on my clutch before installing the vent kit.I haven't looked at my clutches yet as i got home late last night.The screens on the nose and hood are a must!!
