hey all i was browsing some dealer sites and kicking some ideas around about upgrading my sled. i currently ride a 2009 m 1000, with a timbersled intake, stm powervalves, straight 40 helix, s&a mtx 8 inch skis, bondocker and was offered $5700 as a trade in on a 2013 m800 that they want 8K for. the m8 is bone stock. just want some opinions on this deal thanks for you input.

Personally I'd list it privately for $7500 and shoot for $7000. I also wouldn't but a 13 proclimb. They had poor handling traits IMO (had a 12 proclimb). Lots of guys on here say those traits were addressed in 14+. Just something to ponder.

That's a great deal. Seen lots of 09 m1000 for $4500 on kijiji with low miles. Buddy had 13 pro climb with a 174 3" and linderman porting and that thing was a ripper. The 13 PC is very good. Totally different than the m as far as handling but not as bad as the haters on here claim. Easy to dump lots of weight of too.

That is a good price for the M1000. You will miss the torque going to an 800, but that's about it. I have a 13 PC M800 and a 13 PC M1100T, they handle fine, no issues other then I can't leave a sled stock for long. Previous ride was a modded M1000. The PC chassis takes a bit of time to get used to, but you won't regret it once you have some ride time.

Both sleds have their issues. If it was a 2012 I would say keep the M1000. But the 2013 is better. $2300 to go up 4 years is a good deal. How many miles are on the 2013. Make sure you check the clutches. They burn up quick. You will get used to the new chassis really quick.

Is the 13 a limited? They are better don't have the tunnel coolers so less ice build up.
