09 XP Needles

Are the needles on an 09 xp movable by c clip or do I need shims? I have a bit of a lean spot in the mid I'd like to add some more fuel to. My alarms on my digi are set to start around 1200 I believe and if I hold it at mid for too long on the trail or even playing I get the christmas tree of warning lights.

If so where is the best and best priced shim kit to get.

If it is the same as the 08, you'll already have a plastic shim on top of the clip, you can move it under. Also these carbs have fuel screws, you can dial them out 1/2 to 3/4 and try again. But i still had to remove the carbs to get to mine.

Wait sorry, The shim was already under the clip and i added another one. Sorry it's been awhile since i did it. Yours is the same, just checked on BRP site.

Leave it!When I first put a digitron on the XP,the pyro temps @ 1/3 throttle were(are) scary (1350') on the trail.No one is burning them down,so leave it.Everyones XP is like this for emissions,but it works and is safe.Full throttle it is back down to 1250'.
