07 800 Rev Bearing fix

I have my 800R in at mots in edmonton. he is fixing the piled up crank bearing. He machines some reliefs into the crankcase to relieve pressure on the bearing. Anyone else had this procedure done? Does it make the engine reliable again or is this a short term fix. Just looking for opinions?

nope let me know how it works ,i have 2000miles on my sled and it is still fine,the more i read on hear the ore i expect my sled to blow up at anymoment

My understanding of the 800 R is that the cases on many ...not all... were machined to tight from the factory. There is a few shops that can mill the cases to get the proper crank bearing clearances . Dino
