04 vertical edge suspension swap help

my buddy has an 04 144 vertical edge & is looking at putting an 08 dragon 155 skid & track in his 04 is this possible to do or can he just use the longer rails from the dragon & track. i know he will have to change drivers but any help will be much appreciated thanks
