04 Sportsman 700 value

what the feedback on the 700 EFI Sportsman does anyone know.How are those engines and what should a guy look at if buying one of them.
The one i'm looking at has about 800 miles,it has front/back rack plus a rear storage box,otherwise everything is stock,tires,rims..The thing looks in great shape so what would be a good price on that?...guy is ask $5800 i got him at $5300,is a good deal?

Grab a hold of each front axle and give a shake....make sure they're not too wobbly. The price sounds OK if the front end isn't worn out.

Edit: I'm sure there's other things to look for....I'm not a Polaris guy....I just know what's wrong with my buddy's 03 that is causing him to sell it....

I have a 2004 700 with loads of miles on it and driven pretty hard and no problems with it. there selling out here for around 5-6,000
