02 800 highmark no power low range,medium range

hi,newcomer to the webpage glad i signed up.my 02 800 started acting up last spring.syptoms are:loss of power at low to mid range once i hit high range it"s got full power.at low to mid range it seems to want to stall very frusterating.
the stater was changed didn"t help.anybody have any advice.?

What altitude are you having trouble? Rave valves sticking, then opening at full throttle?

yeah sounds about right , need to clean them at least once a season along with carbs

Check to make sure your boots that connect the carbs to the motor are tight and have no cracks.

Yup brother had the same problem on his 'gade sounds like a good place to start

Sounds Like A Seal Leak..... Better Check Your Pto Side Crank Seal.... Bet Its Popped Out!!!

my problem is it's happening at all altitudes.i took apart the RAVE and cleaned it (i do every season).all the springs seem to be okay and it's not sticking.

IF THE SEAL ISN'T POPPED OUT, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO DOO A SEAL LEAKDOWN TEST, BUT MY MONEY IS ON A POPPED OUT SEAL..... YA, KINDA A BUGGER TO DOO THE JOB..... GET A MANUAL AND CHECK IT OUT. GOOD LUCK, AND KEEP US POSTED.
