I ran them for years and they worked good. Just had to lock-tite them on. If I remember right, the left side would come loose due to the standard right hand thread. I actually lost one before I figured it out.
The Trail Blizzer cable scratchers come with a great bracket that indexes the cable scratcher and will not allow it to twist and back the fastener off. Great system and I run them on all of my sleds. They sell them with the standard scratcher tips or carbide and I will say that the carbide is hands down worth the extra few dollars. Been runnning them since 2010 and never lost one yet with many many miles accumulated. Check them out.
we have run the cable scratchers for years but 2 years ago i though i was loosing my mind would start out with them down on a icy trail get part way up and 1 would be hooked back on rail did it to me twice in one day they must hit the ice just right to bounce back up weird or ghost riders
I would strongly advise you to look at the bracketry that comes with my go to brand. I apologize tchetek but a quality product always shows its strengths.
I had some, didn’t last long and I took them off. Absolute garbage. Didn’t work at all, I think I still have them if you want them. That or I threw them out
