On Sunday there is going to be Motorcycle and Atv ice racing, as well as snow drags for the sleds on the lake. Should be fun, haven't seen snow drags here since 2002 or so. Might be safer than heading to the hills till the new snow settles. How do you set up a Nytro Mtn turbo for drag racing anyway :d

The drags were a last minute add-on. The SSRA is doing the races. It is listed on the SSRA site as a non-points race and as far as I know it is cash payout (not trophies) but don't quote me on that. There is an AEIRA ice race on the lake also for bikes and ATV's. I don't know of a website and the only info is on a few posters around town and in the local rag. I believe it's $50 to enter the drags and must be over 18. Location is Big Fish Bay resort and I think racing starts at noon. Contact person for info is Rick Nowicki @ 780-805-0846

Well guys, I just got off the phone with Dale at SSRA and it was decided at the last minute. It is a pack 660ft track on the lake and looking good. Entry fee's will be starting at 20.00 all the way to 50.00 depends on the class you are racing. Registration starts at 8am to 11am. It should be some good racing and they will have a kids 120 race if you are woundering.

I think we had a pretty good turnout considering the lack of notice for this event. There were a few local guys that entered and I think everyone fared pretty well. One of our local guys ran his brand new(9km) Mtn Nytro in the stock 600 class and won. Another local guy won the 800 pro with his drag sled. Trev did good on his Nytro Mtn and got 1st in promax and 2nd in mtn open. Biggest problem we had was running out of gearing  the turbo's ran strong. Mine got knocked out in the promax semi and mtn open semi by the same RX1 turbo(and I gotta learn to not ride standing up, lol). All in all pretty good. I expected a few more locals but I guess they prefer them to look pretty in the back of a truck, lol :d Next year I'm gearing up :d

Was a beautiful day. Nice and warm with lots of sun. Overall seemed to be a pretty good turn out for the short notice. Hope they make a yearly event out of it. I'll try to get a couple pics on here in the next day or two. :)

ya I went and looked at the track the day before and thought I'd leave my sleds at home just cause it looked so rough but the next day I was kickin my butt I didn't take them out and race. They worked all night building a new track and I was impressed with what they did for what they had to work with. Great job to the organizers for putting it together....we'll be there next year for sure....I've got a few pics I'll post tommorow....

Driving 2 1/2 hrs paying to have some fun. Then went through all the tech area, got the 2 stickers saying good to go and then winning the first couple races then getting DQ'd. It was said because I had the suspension straped down. So if that is not allow witch I was told different, then don't let me race and then dq me and get through tech, let me know right there and then I can decide to still race or not. HMMMMMM
