Used sled prices!?!?!

Canadian here. Anyone notices the prices of used sleds going up? People are asking more than what they paid for used turbo 850s and the regular 850s are holding strong used prices. I seen one turbo 850 with 200km on it listed at $29,000! Another with 0km for $25,000! Just a couple years ago you were losing a grand the day you took it home. I bought a 2018 summit SP 850 with 180km on it last summer, absolutely mint, for $11,000 with 2 jugs of oil, belt and cover. Guys would ask $13,000+ for that thing today. Not sure what happened here? Looking really good for me come spring time to snow check a turbo and sell my 2018 summit X 850 :)

People are asking double what 20 year old sleds are worth,It's crazy out there.

Cant complain about people putting sleds for sale over priced online. It will help sell mine when the time comes.

Sold a ‘04 summit 800 for $3000 and a ‘15 M8000 for $5500 yesterday for a buddy of mine. Both buyers were happy with the price and asked why so cheap? I laughed and said because that’s the average price they should sell for.

I think people believe these prices will last into next year? Once Covid is a secondary topic next fall everything will come back into real pricing. If you are going to ride your sled this winter and then think you will sell it for more than its worth then you have waited to long in my opinion. People are gonna start selling stuff once things start looking normal again and they are in for a rude surprise as their financed $18000 2016 pick a model is worth $8000 and they have to come up with the extra cash to pay the bank out. I can't see it playing out any different way.

Well the US is saying everyone that wants to be vaccinated will be by end of June. Turdeau says the same thing for Canadians by end of September. Should put things back to normal pretty much? Be just the anti vaxers that are in the hospital next fall and winter. Lol

They are saying the vaccine wont make you immune and only lasts 2 months. Plus I'm not taking it ever.


So looks like this is going to be a problem for a long time....

Where did you hear it only lasts 2 months? Lol. After the second shot they say the vaccine will not build enough proteins to fight the virus for at least 2 months so they recommend you wear a mask until that time. I've read a lot about it and have never heard you will have to keep taking it for the rest of your life so to speak? I don't usually take vaccines although they scared me enough on the H1N1 that I decided to take it. Have never had that flu although my son did and was extremely sick for weeks. I will take it because if they are talking about having to take it to travel then most likely this will come to fruition. I'm not stopping traveling because of a 2 shot vaccine. What could go wrong? Grow a third nipple?

I dont know enough about it to put it in my body to be honest. So I wont. Not scared of covid at all, scared to death of communism though... now they have some other fake strain going around on the news....


I hope I'm wrong, but I think this is the "new normal" except will be getting worse and worse for years to come.

I think 2021 is going to make 2020 look like a good year.

But happy new years though haha

Hey there is a million opinions on this subject for sure. Kinda like religion and politics. HaHa! You sound like you are younger so I don't think you need to worry. I worry about my mom and father in law and peoples businesses. They are the real concern.
