    2016/17 Revelstoke Conditions

We were riding at Frisby today in the clouds when I pegged a tree and messed up my throttle cable. So I just want to say thanks to Jeremy and his buddy for riding out to the zone that I was stuck in with my buddy Duncan and getting my sled up and running enough to get off the mountain. It was...

Tow Rope - What's everyone using?

Tow rope with hooks, 10 or 15 foot length works well to wrap between the ski hooks and the bumper of the tow sled. keeps it tight for towing. You can get them at CT or PA for $15 for about a 10,000 tear weight and it's money well spent.

Best tool for cutting of running boards

I don't have access to air tools so I used an angle grinder with a small disk and a rip saw with a fine metal blade - this was for the small cuts. Slow and steady. Then you can round out any rough edges after the fact with the grinder. Just wear safety glasses and be prepared to tip the sled on...

    Eagle Valley (Sicamous) Updates 2013/14

We rode Blue Lake on Tuesday and the main part looked like a groomed ski hill. The stashes were deep and untouched though. You just had to hunt a bit. Sunny skies and some of the best snow we've ever hit.

Where To Go For 1/2 Day Ride - Golden

If you're coming up through Radium then I'd say go to Silent Pass. The turn off for it is in Parsons. You can stage pretty far up this year. Otherwise drive through Golden and head to Quartz. Goreman can get pretty slidey this time of year.

Found the creek, the hard way.

Had a blast at Quartz today. But I found the creek by the cabin the hard way. The wind came up and the vis dropped, and then I dropped into the creek. Lol. Thanks to the guys who came out from the cabin to help get my sorry a$$ out. I'm sure it made for some good pix.

    Amsoil

I run it in my 06 and my buddy runs it in his 07 without issue. That Interceptor 2-stroke oil they put out is good oil. Everyone's got an opinion on oil but it works good for us. The rest of their fluids are solid as well.

    oakley goggles

I've used Oakley's for years for snowboarding and they (Wisdom and Crowbar models) fit my sled helmet the best. No fog, great snow clearing, no issues. Worth the price. My buddy tossed his 509's after he borrowed my Crowbars for a day.
