you can tell the way it goes by the direction the belt turns, a peice of belt would flick it to tripped position

Hey there, i beleive the switch is suposed to be off. . I could be wrong, also check the connections and the belt really good , to make sure you reset the belt properly there is a couple good utube videos hth :)
