When I looked at the difference between the 550 and 700 Grizz, it looked like the price wasn't much more for the 700, ($800?) and there wasn't any weight savings with the smaller engine. I have the 700, and it is awesome.
Thanks for the list. I am going to assemble a pack this year, although I don't think i will be trying the mountains for a while. I need a little more time to learn my machine, and find an avalache safety course. Of course all of this could come in handy if a guy gets in a jam in the lower...
A co worker of mine from Malaysia has a custom jeep, and he is in a big club there. They are all switching over to Dyneema rope, which is stonger and lighter. Dyneema resists the sun and water better than some synthetics, and they use it for marine applications as well. I found a supplier...
Wow! I am trying to do a similar thing with an old 89 I had and my brothers long track. Except i turns out both engines are shot, so I had to do a rebuild. The longtrack my brother has has been shedded so the original fiberglass looks awesome, and I'm glad to hear I can get a new track for...
I have an 07 Mountain Lite and I love it. But I'm new to mountain riding, and I am mostly into boondocking and jumping. I thought about a turbo, but have heard that it takes time to wind up and is hard to cluch. So I looked into super charging, but I think why dump all that money into mods to...
I have driven Fords at work (in the oil patch) and love my '02 6.0L 2500 Sierra GMC. The reason Ford is the most popular truck in the patch - cheap fleet pricing. If you want fuel economy, handling, ride, and power, drive GM or Chev. Gas or Diesel, doesn't matter.
I am working on a jack up drilling rig, as a cementer. I just got off and will be quadding this weekend. I wish I was sledding though, I just got a newer phazer before I left.
I'm looking at upgrading from my old Kodiak to either the Rhino or the RZR. RZR is faster, lower to the ground and overall smaller. But it is a Polaris, and in my experience Yamaha stands up better (quads, anyway).
But the RZR looks cool, corners great and is FAST, from what I've read.
The...

I moved from GP in December. My neighbor is big in the snowmobile club, and turned me on to this, but I don't know his logon. I am in China right now, and my internet availability is hit and miss. I have an old Kodiac, looking to upgrade to a Rhino or RZR, can't decide which.
I got a good deal on an '07 Phazer Mountain Lite. I love it, but I am new to serious riding. It was good in the powder around Swan Hills this year. A few people who rode 800's and 1000's were impressed by the feel. But the Nytro is not much heavier, and has lots more potential. I'm looking...
