    Garmin 650

only thing you have to remember is if you ship it to the Canadian repair place out east they dont repair it they just replace it and with a CAD model. I bought the US model so i had 5w and did not want to lose that so i got a friend in the states to send it in so it was replaced with a US model.

    load and unloading, your solutions?

wait till you get in snow to judge riding the bike, and definitely BUY the yeti wheels. We all load on sled decks by just riding our bikes up just like a sled. Need a good wheel setup for that.

Have the boys figured out the Ktm intake ?

16 ktm can remove only the airbox surronding. All older models are best suited with a cut up airbox and a filter setup like the TSS model kits come with. I just have another rear airbox($70) for summer and a modded one for winter. its the only way to go if you do not want to deal with problems...

    New decking for sled deck

Marine plywood stained lasts a VERY long time and is affordable. Even infiniboard i would put superglides on for the traction. Once you walk on superglides you dont want to not(its a long ways down off a lifted truck) I forget the name but there is a place in Calgary i was told that sells...

    Sled Deck Extension Picture

Iam looking for a picture of how the extension slides into the deck, on STF(Blindman) decks the rear square tubing is mounted at an angle preventing a simple straight forward slide in design.

New Snow Bike Deck loading system

Pickup box would be the best as its low and protected by the cab. If you have superglides up the middle riding up is not bad at all. I also use the Yeti wheels and that makes riding up feel as safe as riding a sled up. We but 4 Bikes on a deck(ill admit the 4th bike does not ride up as its a...

    325/60/20 Studded Duratracs

I agree, you may say it looks dumb but the narrower your ego will let you run the safer you and everyone else on the road are. its a HUGE difference every tire size you go narrower. No one wants to be the guy that hits the ditch with the truck or trailer and causes there buddys and them to miss...

Backroad GPS BC/ALBERTA for garmin rino 650

Birdseye is amazing at times, they update the sat imagery sometimes so it can be winter sometimes and summer sometimes. i have some winter imagery downloaded that you can follow sled tracks on, that's how detailed it is. Google maps does not even come close. Unfortunately some areas are very...

    Sled Deck Extension Picture

It looks to have 2" style mount but i don't see how it will slide under the rear bar that is mounted 45 degrees(diamond shape) from square and therefore the extension would have to be mounted lower to clear the rear tubing and the deck surface and sides would be lower then the rest of the deck...

    Sled Deck Extension Picture

I recently purchased a Blindman(STF) deck that came with the extension to make it a long(9feet) deck. The problem is the extension was welded and then cut off the deck so it is missing the original way that it used to slide on and mount so that it can be removed when needed. i am looking for...

    Dream snowbike

you pretty much summed up EXACTLY how our entire riding group feels. We had 6 of us switch from sleds last year and in one day had more fun then last 2 years on sleds. I also used to ride TIGHT trees that most could not get into with sleds. Now with a Snowbike i only go a few km up some trails...

How did you insure your Snowbike?

after alot of phone calls. Cooperators did my bike 12 300XC and 16 ST kit for $700ish a year for fire theft and liability. would be $1200ish if you wanted collison which i did not. i also am only worried about theft. I have heard of others for alot cheaper but that is because they think that...

    Grip n rip vs.Zbroz skid plate/S&E brace

I would order from 2kool if no one locally has them. They are great to deal with and Canadian. If you are looking for a skidplate i still have 2 left RPM composite full carbon fiber. Works on all NON t3 xms. Best skidplate you can buy hands down.

    Seriously thinking about a snowbike

we rented 2 bikes in Feb of this year and since riding them one day i have not rode my sled again( i put over 2000 km a year on in the mountains) i bought a 300 XC and sno checked a 16 ST. Sled is for sale. Nothing is like it. can go places no one else can and ride fresh snow every day of the...

    February Conditions

Just got off the hill at Renshaw. They need snow bad. Must be 6 feet low compared to last year. About 8 inches fresh from couple nights ago. Every area in tracked out pretty good and if it isn't it is tracked out below the fresh. Snow is in the forecast and next weekend should be good though...

    January conditions

We rode in at 22 on Dec 5. Had to shovel first creek in and was tricky getting across where bridge was(2 guys hit a huge tie with rebar in it and bent a arms) but its doable even in very low snow. Downfall is the crazy willows you have to ride through that early.
