    Trials tire

They work great. I used the Dunlop for three years. The only downside is some mud (and it's not that bad), grass, and downhill sections. Otherwise it's all better. I've also read they are actually quite good in sand too but haven't had the chance to test. I'm riding a newer bike now with...

Your help is needed to ensure the future with opererating OHV in Alberta & Camping

Re: Your help is needed to ensure the future with opererating OHV in Alberta & Campin Here's a good start, why not try teaching proper trail etiquette on this very forum? How about teaching tread lightly principals? Protection of watersheds? I've gotten into MANY discussion on this forum...

pics of sledding in the pass

3-4' of fresh?!?!! Lets be realistic here. 3-4' of base, maybe 6-8" of fresh. People need to make a snowmobile dictionary because everybody blows the "new" snow out of proportion.

It was fun! Good amount of showing and interest in the practice. I'd be up for doing it whenever just to keep the skills and improve on them. Not to mention learn our devices and know their downfalls, etc. Going out split boarding tomorrow so this was perfect timing!

I'm having a troubling issue here. I can't find my beacon.... I'll continue to look and if I find it I'll show up late. I wasn't around last winter so it's been two years with one move in between... Problem is I swear I've seen it but it's not where I know it should be.

Still trying to be there! It'll just be myself. I sold my sled but starting splitboarding this year. Practice is practice. Likely not going to stay for food.

I'm attempting to be there. I should be able to make it. Might bring a friend if that's alright.

When I bought my Toy I was looking for a Cummin's, but came across a 95? 7.3 with 175,000 KM's. I think they were wanting $5000. If it had a sweet deck like that I would have bought it! Good score!

Where to put shovel and probe

Trust me, I'm not a hoarder but firmly believe in bringing essentials and using tech material and supplies to make my pack lighter and smaller. I still think 22L is about as small as you can go. I have a 30L Vario and it's about 3/4 full (about 22L). It's not light but the bags are so well...

Where to put shovel and probe

I have the 30L and have no idea how you guys get away with the small bags. Mine's not stuffed but it's filled with what I think is essential. Sure it's heavy, but if I have to spend a night on the mountains I won't be the one freezing my balls or hungry. After all, how much more does a...

I'd be down for that. I'm in North Calgary close to Airdrie. PM me if this happens. I don't check the forum all that often.

What would buy for a diesel truck?

New vehicles aren't built with longevity in mind. IMO, if you are going to keep your truck for a long time, best get working on it now! Stay on top of maintenance but it's also very important to tackle the rust BEFORE or as it starts to happen. I tried searching for a clean diesel to buy...

What would buy for a diesel truck?

And judging by their history, that would be in 3 years with 200,000K on the ODO. Hehe. Sorry. Had to.

Russia the next frontier for big mountain riding?

Alaska is an open frontier of riding. The places mentioned earlier are exceptional locations all within hours of driving. This isn't even considering other continents.. Mountains are mountains. There's a lot of mountains in the world and many have less restrictions then we have here. Lots...

The whole idea is that IF it does chip, the rust won't spread because it won't go underneith and continue to progress. It'll be localized. I hope my experiences are different... It's a ton of work! There is another product out there that people claim is as good or better and requires less...

    Minimalist Thread

It's strange because research showed two sides of a story. Some say it's the best damn thing they could find, others said it peeled within a year. The last statement didn't sit well in my stomach, but I went with it anyways and spend 30 hours on my back preping and painting. So far it's...

    Corbin conditions?

I'm by no means a professional, but I think it won't be an issue. Even if you have a thick layer of weak snow at ground, one avy cycle from a heavy snow and it should be whiped to ground level and hopefully have nice, consistant snow and weather to make a good snow pack from there. Not like...
