Agreed, it sure sucks. But I'm a former auto mechanic, and been fixing my own ch!t forever. I have the skills and tools.

    Turbo kit oiling problems

Right on ABMax, I'm on their website now looking at that one. I'd sure like to plumb it into the sleds oil tank if possible.

    Turbo kit oiling problems

gedakbx, I spoke with Justin early in the saga. He was helpful with suggestions, and would inspect the turbo for warranty if I sent it to them. Not really the quick solution I needed. I don't want to rebuild everything and start riding not knowing if it will just happen again.... hence my search...

    Turbo kit oiling problems

ABMax, Silbers turbos are ceramic bb so no need for high volume or pressure. I'm going to research the pump you suggested, sounds like a good solution. As for why the turbo has overheated...... simply because after my water pump fails, I ride the sled out without a functioning cooling system...

    Turbo kit oiling problems

Hope your all having a good summer! I have some issues to deal with before snow flies, time to get at it. 2019 Axys 850 with a Silber 2.0 kit. Twice now my water pump gear has failed from what is surely a lack of lubrication to the center cavity. Even though nobody else seems to be having my...

    Dalton adjustable weights

Yes, bottom the screws in the tip. No choice that I'm aware of. I do like mine, needed them for big weight on a turbo.

To add a BOV or not, a bit of boost run-on

I bought my kit directly from Silber, and I'll confirm that it runs like a raped ape.

To add a BOV or not, a bit of boost run-on

So, I've been doing some tweaking with the idle speed. -idle speed was low on cold startup when I installed the turbo, so I had adjusted it up a little. -now I lowered it back down, which seems to have helped a lot with the run-on. Idle is @ about 1100 - 1200 cold, once warmed up it's @ 1650...

To add a BOV or not, a bit of boost run-on

Well, my Silber kit certainly does not have a BOV. Does not look like those pics. Must be an older kit?

To add a BOV or not, a bit of boost run-on

Yeah I'll talk to Silber, but they don't use or sell bov's for 2 stroke kits. Someone somewhere has bov'd a silber polaris I figure lol. I'm capable of drilling / tapping for the vac nipple, hoping someone has a setup to share for the rest.

To add a BOV or not, a bit of boost run-on

I don't think thats whats happening but I could be wrong. Is this a thing with turbo kits? I would expect the spring in the TB's to be plenty

    850 water pump failure

With the engine still installed I could get the wp cover off, but I don't think it would be possible to work on seals. Maybe with the mounts un-bolted and tip the engine back? at that time your so close to just pulling the engine.

    850 water pump failure

-To update the bearing, the cases would need to be machined for the ring so that wasn't gonna happen. -Not a sled mechanic, but previously was an auto mechanic. I have also been working on my own sleds and dirt bikes since I was a kid. Most of my testing is outlined in the service manual. My...

To add a BOV or not, a bit of boost run-on

Installed a Silber kit on my 2019 Axys 850 @7psi. Running great, loving my first turbo sled! There's a moment of "run-on" coming off boost. Not an issue at all in deep snow, but can be annoying from time to time on higher traction. The held rpm seems to be linked to boost left in the system, as...
