I havent ridden an XP, so I cant compare to that. But I find it rather manageable and nimble in the back country. That being said, I am not a small guy either, so I have alot more wieght to throw around. I also have about 10" of rise on my handlebars. They are heavier, but with the boost you...
might seem like a bitch move on my part, but its the same thing every time on here: guy posts, other guy replies, guy complains, point of thread is lost, more complaints, legit question/ answer, complaining continues..... gets tiring after awhile.
It always amazes me just how quickly threads develop a negative connotation on this site. Any time you post anything it's starts off with a few relevant replies before quickly switching to the sour pants whinning hour. I re-posted this under a popular heading so that more members could see this...
And to all the whiners bitching about the excess noise, I do not hear anyone complaining about strait pipe 4 strokes, or piped 2 smokes, or any combination of the two. Seems to me that you could care less about the existing noise pollution that already exists because with your half brained logic...
Its starting at about 1500 for the install. It's full custom for every sled. So far he's only done the M8, his 1100T, and an apex. But he is looking to show all brands the love. Must have electric start to run the audio system. If interested, contact Jason at sound obsessions here in lloydminster.
the 180 kit with a manual boost control turned up to 9psi will make roughly 200hp, however MCX upgraded the kit to a 190 this year and i am seeing very close to 10psi at 6000ft running 100LL fuel. No issues.
just put an MCX 190 kit on mine this year and love it! OJ's in wainwright did the install and did a bang up job too, great fit and finish with the mountain mod seat.
FXR has a new mountain line out this year, i dont remember the price range, but worth looking into. Guy I ride with got a demo suit this year and likes it so far. But as far as a low budjet set up goes, i tried running a klim base layer under my old fxr stuff and i was still just as sweat soaked...
The fibreglass clamshell is heavy option, bent axles may be in your near future. That's is my only complaint about them, but I heard topcap is no longer making the clamshells. But triton now has the aluminum cap, I have it and love it! Lighter, and more usable space. It also has a handy front...
Basically just use the same mentality as buying a car. Don't fall for obvious ploys such as a mysteriously clean sled, there should be minor oil leaks or remnants of one. It's a two stroke and a high mileage one. Exhaust cracks aren't that severe unless its the header that is cracked, most other...
Well jan I certainly don't disagree with you on the 08, I had one aswell. However the 2010 is lightyears ahead of the 08. So once agin will say to our new nytro owner wanting out honest opinion, just ride it. You will experience some of the troubles jan has and ones that others have stated...
I strongly disagree with you trax 2 treads, I've had my 2010 nytro since brand new an other than the darting on a hard pack trail I have had no issues with manuverability. There's a lot of techno babble in your post that could possibly be correct, but I've never heard of any of it previously...
had one myself in 07, good sled. I had no issues what so ever, but the one thing the 07's were bad for was the engine braking effect. If you're standing up and let off the throttle brace yourself! lol but boost would be a good addition IMO
