STEEP AND DEEP winter fun,
DOWN AND DIRTY summer adventures,
I like the new addition to your business, and hope you get lots of interest in showing people around those beautiful mountains all summer long. Don't forget to give Robin a day off once in a while!!!!
Thank you Pattie,
We have only ever stayed with you when in Blue River, and look forward to seeing you on Monday.
I assume the restaurant on the highway is an option for those of us that are lazy.
Are there any other restaurants in Blue??
Hey slededjr,
Please don't take my map and head into an area you are not familiar with or comfortable with.
I always get a little nervous about posting my maps on here.
We always pack overnight survival gear, sat phones, and Garmin Zumo GPS on every sled.
We have been caught north of Spirit...
Please see my map with a note indicating the location.
I was not there so it may not be 100% correct, but based on other first hand comments, I think its pretty close.
Please advise if I have made an error.
I've attached a map of our route to Spirit Lake, and some danger areas we pass though, not sure where this accident happened, but it could easily be any of them.
I found myself getting wrapped up in finding out exactly where this happened, like many of you.
Then it dawned on me, IT DOESN'T MATTER. If you look at the route to Spirit Lake, there are several serious concern areas after dropping down and north of the back side, and we have rode by all of...
11 sleds in one slide path......
We really need to remember our training when we are out there.
I cant even imagine the pain of all those families.
There are no words.
Not sure if anyone else has aver struggled with how to take a wife or child on a mountain trip, but I go up with my wife once each year and we have always had trouble fitting two asses on one summit seat.
She is very small, so she used to sit in front of me, but i just discovered a better...
I read 18 pages, and still no pic of the F650........
I love those rigs, wish i could afford one.

Thanks for the updates Pattie,
Keep working on posting those pics, it all us city slickers have to dream about. lol.
Looking forward to seeing you guys again,
Any update on the grooming situation?

FYI, use extreme caution when drilling holes in your tunnel, and be sure to leave space above your cooling fins.
We used some 1x1 aluminum to raise up the case.
I removed the inner foam, but left in the outer foam perimeter.
We have done about 6 machines with pelican cases, and have never had an issue, contents stay 100% dry, and safe.
We use it for gear we don't want / need in our back packs, small parts, a couple tools, straps, dry gloves, snacks...
We use pelican cases, IMO the answer to all tunnel bag problems.
These pics are of a 2007 Summit, I can get pics of a larger case on our new 2011 summit.
Have to agree with the height and length comments, i went with a "super" double. Only 24 wide, but 34 deep with 13ft ceilings. It was the best i could do on a standard city lot. Had them include hot and cold water and a floor drain too. No complaints so far, lots of room for two vehicles and...
Good question,.....
But I don't tie down my dishes and groceries in my holiday trailer, so there must be different rules for small stuff,..??
Not sure really.
