Don't know if its salvageable or not but i have a buddy that just replaced his 174x3x16 to the 174x3.2x15 right from 0 miles so the track is brand new. not sure what he would sell it for but i can find out. PM me.
Well we made it just past skinny ridge and the Polairs we just fixed the driveshaft and drive belt plate on had the motor crater again. Only 40 miles on the new motor. Apparently the 174 T3 can really throw the snow when she's dragging a sled out. Lol
Big shout out to Mark, not only did he try...
Great weather the last 2 days and the snow has been awesome. Are ridding was cut sort due to Polaris's pi** poor design again. Had to leave the sled up there lastnight, getting it out went a lot better than expected
Anyone have room in there group for a tag along? Have lots of mountain ridding experience, all the proper gear and even know how to use it lol. Don't know the area that well so would really like to meet up with guys that do.
So the next time a truck coming the other way crosses into my lane i should just steer at him because "It's my time to go"? Have the tools and training to get yourself out of bad circumstances keeps you alive. JMO.
I believe his intent was stating if he can afford the new sled and truck the proper safety gear shouldn't be a problem, naming the brand/model was just him being thorough in his rant. JMO
I am a big guy about 310-320 geared up, I have the front shocks on there stiffest setting and with the 174 I find a lot of front dive in the corners. Just looking to have a front shock with a soft 1-2" and really keep that ski planted on more aggressive ridding.
Hello all,
So got a change to take out the new sled, Love everything about it except the front shocks. what are you guys replacing them with? Last time I upgraded shocks was on my Nytro and i wasn't really happy with the Fox Float 2s.
Thanks in advance for any input Boostmonkey.
You Sir are correct, i just found this http://pa.motorwebs.com/ford/pdf/brochures/super-duty.pdf
page 14
LWB = 37.5 US GAL = 141.98 ltrs
SWB = 26 US GAL = 98.42 ltrs
lol wow, Yea to get it back to full stock specs yes that would be the correct way to do it. But come on if stock spec was the best setup no one would every mod.
You can find a used take off track from some one who went 156 to 163 save 800-900 bucks there. Rail extensions are find under normal...
there are a few ways to do it, You could just buy rail extensions and a track that would be the cheapest way. New rails and track would be the "proper" way. Some guys use to just relocate the stock skid back in the tunnel, not even sure if you could do that in these newer sleds or not.
