I haven't posted in a long while. I picked up a 06' 600 XF with no engine, just a box of parts. I picked up a 700 from a F-cat. engine is in and I'm down to the last few connectors.
I have a problem figuring out where the cable linkage for the oil pump comes from. I hade to change the linkage...
I needed a Flywheel for a 97' Ultra 680 touring. I bought one on KIJIJI and purchased the stator for it as well. It was supposedly for same year 680 Ultra but not the touring edition. I should have asked the part # in hind site. The flywheel from the wife's Ultra touring is FP9103 the one I...
So we have the most snow we have seen in years. I'm stuck at work 500k north of any pavement and can't even get my sledding fix by reading posts while at work! Shet! Most of the Sask posts are 2 yrs old.
I figured with all the snow we have had this year there would be lot's to talk about...
I also would like to know if there should be any in and out play to the input and output gears? I have heard some play in the DD should be expected, but when I pull and push on the input and out put there is about a 16th inch play. Is this normal? I am not missing any shims or bearing (that I...
I'm scratching my head. March 2010 I grenaded the Planetary and Transfer gear in my '07 XF 1000 sp. All of a sudden there was a loud "Crunch" and no forward motion. Being 4 miles from nowhere we took off the belt and towed it to a nearby road to get loaded. I am sure that is where I lost most of...
I have nothing but good things to say about my Modrods. They seem to have held up good. I haven't hit anything yet, but they have about 1000 miles on them and they have performed as advertised. about a Hundred bucks if I remember correctly. they are on a XF 1000.
Family Day a few years back we took our two Young boys (2 and 5) out north of Lke Isle in the hills. The youngest wasn't feeling well, he had a cold. But it was just too nice a day to sit in the cabin. So off we go for a 5 hr ride. We weren't off the ice yet when the youngest fell asleep sitting...
Is there a Vendor out there that would maybe like to donate some space, a parking lot or know of some cheaper type facilities? It would be a good time to meet some potential customers without the formality of a large expensive sled show. Not to mention Fun!
I would drive 2 or 300 miles to check...
I use a NGK Powerdex AFX. seams to work well. Got it from Don's Speed Parts. Easy to install, easy to read. Had to calibrate it when first installed. Been good since. Its been on the sled for about 700 miles.
I think it was about $400 though. Its on a CF1000.
I was told if you have it all dialed...
I should give some of you guys a shout and come out that way to play in the snow. I have a cabin at Lake Isle that sits empty, and I have been trying to get there to go riding all winter. I want to take a 3 or 4 day weekend and bring the sleds out. But Damn...work keeps getting in the way. Wife...
