Looking for gears for my DD

Hi guys, I have a 08 Crossfire 1000 and I'm looking to change the gearing. I would really like a set of 61-59 gears, but if I can't find them I would consider trying a set of 60-60 if the price was right. Thanks Trev

    Clutch heat?

Well I got the call from Echo today. The clutches were out of alignment, out of square, belt deflection was wrong and they were dirty. lol In all fairness, I have a black diamond adjuster and when I blew my last belt I had moved it a bit to get the belt on and didn't reset it when I got home...

    Burning fuel like crazy

My Crossfire 1000 is hard too, we did 40miles the other day and I burnt 32 liters. We were riding hard, boondocking almost the whole time in 2 to 3 feet of POW! Also just found out my clutches are ridiculously out of alignment which would account for the belts blowing. This may help with fuel as...

    Clutch heat?

The last one I put on is an 046. It got me home, but trust me. I was feathering the throttle! lol

    Clutch heat?

Ya, I'm trying to break them in properly but I agree this deep snow makes it hard to do. Regardless, I should get more than 30 miles a belt even if it is not broke in perfectly. Will be taking it to the dealer tomorrow. The motor has an awful ting to it now too! Warranty please be kind.. lol

    Clutch heat?

Well I installed a vent kit today and went for a ride. I noticed I was loosing rpm, checked the belt and it seemed o.k. then about 10 min later KAPOWY!!!! That's 3 belts in about 100 miles of riding, and at 2 bills a belt I'm not a happy camper!! Time for the dealer to do some warranty work I...

    Clutch heat?

Mountainguy, I had a cutler on my 06 600. That machine is not putting out the torque this is but that kit worked well. Never blew a belt and the backshift on it is excellent. I may have to get another one.

I think we were typing at the same time Sledhead. lol

    Clutch heat?

As you can see, I'm trying to be humorous about this. However I blew a belt a couple days ago and then blew this one today. The heat coming from my clutch is ridiculous. Throw some snow on it and it turns to steam. I have no vent kit but will be getting one, is there anything else that will...

    Belt change out tricks?

Taking off is easy sometimes unfortunately. Had one come out in 1" pieces yesterday. Apparently the workout I was giving it was not appreciated by my clutch! lol

dealer says that the m1000 6400-6500 rpm stumble is caused by fuel?

Your factory plug is likely a BR9EYA. I had an 06 600 crossfire and it ran great regardless of what diet it was on premium or regular. However on this 08 1000 it is amazing how much better it is performing with regular.

I keep mine in the garage but it is not heated. He actually said he had spoke to someone in Fort Mac, but didn't know if you had any success with it or not. hadn't heard back form ya. I called him today to let him it seems to be working excellent.
