This is how most sledders are and I always meet great people when I go to the mountains, hope you get back in shape soon and a big thanks to the sledders that helped you out
What octane of fuel and what percentage of Ethanol is in the fuel, both could be part of the problem
Shell Premium claims no Ethanol while many others use ethanol and I have not had issues
I believe that Skidoo does not recommend Ethanol blend but could be wrong, will check later
as long as jetted accordingly you will be ok
based on many factors like pfi572 said as well as sled and you
most sleds are built in rich to be on safe side
On my stock xp sleds if you have feet in right spot sled rides around you and you keep your arms loose, amazing after long day out
But I have never tried aftermarket shocks
May be better on ride in but not sure as I love the smell and sound of two stroke sleds
It is the only reason I get out of...
How much weight can you handle a lower altitude?
divide that by 10 when in mountains
But is worth the sore muscles, and amazing
an experience like no other
Ice scratchers are a must for trail to mountains, rear footrests are great, I assume an e-tec 800, no sorry but I doubt you could ride a whole day and need any extra fuel, unless with riding with other brand sleds
I have both 800R's carb n di,
I prefer to use a permanent black marker before I take it apart then I compare with Skidoo Service Manuals, if it ran smooth from the factory well line up your marks, but also interesting to see what the Skidoo Service Manual says
SOL & lots of questions if not done first, which is always...
I ride 163 doo's and love riding in Blue
A Bigger sled gives you a lot more forgiveness & will take you into places you didn't think you can make
But as a new mountain rider the Renny will be good as long as the snow is not 2 plus feet deep, plus a guy tends to be braver on his own sled vs a...
Watch your WOT rpm & adjust from there (approximately 200 rpm/clicker), I normally run clicker 1 until I know that I need the full rpm to help get me where I want to go but I am lighter than most & rarely need WOT to get where others go. When I want full power I tend to look for about 100 rpm...
If spark is good as you say you may want to try to spray some fuel into the cylinder that is not firing, engnes need air, fuel & spark (back to basics)
Also a good spark is less likely under compression if you tested it out of the cylinder & excess fuel to an extent is easier to ignite
just a...
I think you might be happier with a Renegade than a Summit based on your question
I sold my takeoff 154" x 2 1/4" track to a fellow in Sk that did mostly lake/trail riding, high speed, low snow/hard pack conditions (trails)
If I remember correctly he only had 1500kms on his track before losing...
I still have maps that also said it was going to be re-activated but Robin didn't know anything about that (Holy Smoke Inn)
They had to fight hard just to keep what is currently open so between tree huggers & Heli skiing I doubt it
They don't even groom the trail into Whitewater, Paradise, Big...
