Just pay the 16$ and have an authorized BCA refiller do it, not something to take a chance with doing it yourself. There are two places in calgary

Just rebuilt mine hand had the same thing, when i installed mine i put the disc with the little post on the wrong side of the little posts that catch and throw the pawl out (horrible description I know) it need to be in between the catches on the short side of the arc and not on the outside...
I grew up about an hour north and just bought my first house there, in my opinion the small towns in between calgary and red deer are where you should look. Much cheaper housing and still close to the city for when you need it, cant stand too many people in one place haha
Do you engage the wheel lock(s) or interaxle lock? I would have to agree with axle shaft from the sounds of it but I would pull them all out just to check (quick and easy with either 15/16" or 1 1/8" socket and a sledgehammer)
