I have been to waiparous (ghost area) several times in the winter to go 4x4ing ,quadding and some sledding. The air strip area does not see that much snow, that is why the 4x4ing is open year round there. Make sure you have the most current map of the area and only go on the designated trails...

I just called myself to confirm that the trails are open. The lady on the phone told me that the rangers have said the trails are open and they are currently plowing the road and parking areas. No need to discuss this any further... Lets Ride:specool:

I tried the Blairmore forestry office but could not reach anyone. I guess there is always the ditches or head out to Golden. Looks like there is plenty of snow for either.
