I met Sherman Hemsley, better known as George Jefferson in 1987 when he was working in Calgary. He use to get gas at a full service station that I worked at. He would drive up in a K-car limo with his own driver. Not sure why anyone would turn a k-car into a limo but he did. He was just a...
I went up to Cataract on Sunday and rode west from the parking lot down the creek access. The snow was about 8" deep but was enough to cover the gravel on the access road. We then headed south toward skyline and oyster. The snow was anywhere from knee deep to waist deep. In fact my buddy was...
Hey guys I love the pictures. Now I know why my ski`s were so badly worn last year. No snow. lol :d
Well... we can always drool over the Revy pictures it almost looks stupid out there. We just need some of that to come our way.
This seems to be an ongoing issue with places like Golden and Revy. I can remember several such incidents being reported in the forum last year. It makes a guy not want to head to those areas. There are a lot of opportunists there. A bait trailer would get these guys caught in a hurry. Where are...
I have been to waiparous (ghost area) several times in the winter to go 4x4ing ,quadding and some sledding. The air strip area does not see that much snow, that is why the 4x4ing is open year round there. Make sure you have the most current map of the area and only go on the designated trails...
I just called myself to confirm that the trails are open. The lady on the phone told me that the rangers have said the trails are open and they are currently plowing the road and parking areas. No need to discuss this any further... Lets Ride:specool:
I tried the Blairmore forestry office but could not reach anyone.
I guess there is always the ditches or head out to Golden. Looks like there is plenty of snow for either.
Hey guys,

Designated - means to set aside for a purpose.
permitted - Authorize or give permission for (something).
To me designated means that the date of Dec 1 has been set aside for snowmobiles. Unlike the word permitted this does not implicate that we do...
Sorry to hear about the sleds. I agree with the bait car idea. All they need is a ford truck and a big sled trailer you would have your man in no time. I have a Ford and I am definitely concerned about heading to Revy. I think I would have to sleep in my truck. Hope you had insurance.
Just a word of advice to all you sled heads from the safety guy. Everyone should consider carrying a fire extinguisher with them. A small 2 lb extinguisher can be carried in your backpack or can be strapped to your sled. You have a fighting chance with one. Without one you can kiss your sled...
