With my kids activities I don't get a lot of riding time these days. But I would rather have a 2010 sled with 1200 miles on it sitting for 8 months of the year and being paid for than some of the other powersports where you have $100,000.00 tied up and only get to use it for a few months a year...
All good info. I will disassemble the carb again and focus on #9 and #16. I found the maintenance manual online for it for setting the carb so I can make sure it isn't out to lunch as well. I pulled out the carriage to make sure it wasn't bearings seizing up as well. I mixed the gas @ 50:1...
Have been trying to fix my kids Kitty cat. Bogs when you hit the gas. I have pulled the carb apart several times and cleaned jet etc. Can't seem to correct it. 100 psi compression, replaced fuel line to carb. Read some posts on forums that talk about adjusting float height, changing jets,etc...
Don't think it anything to do with the primary. Belt is right at the bottom and not contacting on either side. Just seems too tight to me. Secondary shim makes sense.
Ok. Thought it looked a little high in the secondary. I will have to ask him if had any work done to the secondary recently. May explain why it never had this issue before.
Thanks!
Friend brought me his 2004 T660 turbo trail sled to work on. At idle the thing starts creeping ahead on its own. Checked and it has the correct belt on the clutches and is idling at the correct RPM. Any other ideas? Would a new belt just be too tight until it gets some wear on it?
Anyone ?
Hi all. I am fixing a friends 2009 Yamaha Bravo. He was running across a lake and a bolt worked its way loose inside the recoil assembly. I pretty much destroyed the flywheel fan and recoil assembly. Anyone have a good used fan and complete recoil assembly for sale? Let me know. In the...
Thanks For the info Rhodsie. I figured there was something fishy. That's why I asked the question on this forum. I figured someone would be able to clarify. Much appreciated.
Polaris part number from parts counter at local dealership is 2204168. The guy had the number sitting in front of him as he had someone else looking into the kit earlier. I tried looking that part number up on the parts website but had no luck.
I was looking at the RKTek kit and the MtnTek kit and am still considering my options. I was totally caught off guard when the Polaris parts rep said Polaris has their own OEM kit. Never heard that before today. Curios if a guy should go with an OEM kit because it must have been approved by...
So I was in polaris today asking some questions in regards to fix kits and was told that Polaris has their own version of a fix kit. It comes with pistons, pin bearing, shim, both base gaskets, injector o-rings and head cover seal. $809.00 and packaged as Polaris OEM kit. No stock on the Polaris...
