Ethanol = Detonation, Dont run ethanol if you can help it. I was running 94 octane premium from Mohawk and took out a piston, caused by detonation, The only thing we could come up with is the ethonal, I now have been running shell gas and have had 0 issues eversense. Hope this helps
Stock for that sled is Silver / Blue secondary Spring, Almond Primary and 10-60 weights. You should confirm that this is what you are running now. with that said it could be as simple as bad rollers, or warn bushings in you primary. Check it and clean real good. I dont think adding pipes should...
Could be mid range lean, What engine? Also have you checked compression?
Were you rideing in deep snow or trail, Did you have sufficiant snow to cool the rear heat exchanger? I quess it could be overheated. were you able to ride the seld home?

A quick update, With the 10-62 weights in there, under load I could only pull
7800 RPM. 2500ft (Not enough) So back to a new set of 10-60 , still waiting on re-gearing it but it does pull pretty good so far.
