    Edson Snow Conditions

The trail from Edson to Silver Summit to the Tom Hill Cabin has been groomed although the section from town to Pepper hill cabin is getting rough from all the traffic. Trail from Silver Summit to Tom Hill is smooth although some sections have marginal snow. Silver Summit ski area is not open...

    Edson Snow Conditions

Was out again Thursday April 3 found lots of lines NE of Knight Comp that had barely been touched. There's a hard layer about 6-8" under the powder that allows any sled to work up there now when that softens up you better have a mountain sled or go on an old path. Doing one last family trip...

    Edson Snow Conditions

Out last week Silver Summit/ Knight Comp/Tom Hill areas all the way to the White Court trail system at Goodwin Lake. Around 2-3 feed of hard packed snow/ice with 4 inches of fresh snow last week and we just got 6 inches more in town over the last few days. The most snow is up toward Silver...

    Edson Snow Conditions

Was up today at Tom Hill/Knight and did cutlines over to the power line west of Silver Summit considering how good the snow is there has not been much traffic and you can still find fresh snow on the major lines 1-2 ft. If you go down any cutlines where no one has been this year you are looking...

    Whitecourt conditions

Trail from Whitecourt to Silver Summit/Tom Hill all smooth and fast, good snow everywhere except for a clearcut halfway in between where its getting thin. If you do the trip make sure you take the trail around the east side of Goodwin lake at least one way, the funest groomed trail I have ever...

    Edson Snow Conditions

I was out yesterday south of Robb and parked at the corner where the highway turns to gravel. We went down the main power line, and then along the road past the Lovett staging area (not plowed out yet) just past where the coal trucks cross the road we turned into the bush. There is 2-3 ft of...

    Edson Conditions

Spent 4 of the last 5 days sledding north of Edson there is 1ft to 2ft of snow everywhere and still lots of areas have no sled marks. Rode from Silver Summit toward Whitecourt (on the trail) until about 10 miles past Tomhill Tower road all fresh powder, the only issue being a rough creek...

    Edson Conditions

Nov 17th was up at Silver Summit for the first ride of the year, just over a foot of snow, the main power lines were OK but the actual trail from Silver Summit to town is going to have to be groomed before its worth going on due to quad ruts. Nov 20th Ran along the main highway west of town for...

    Whitecourt/Swan snow condition updates??????

There should still be lots of snow in the Swan Hills I was out today north of Edson and there was still 2-3 ft. There was a hard layer on top so if you kept moving you were OK. We got brave and tried some cutlines that had no previous tracks on them and regretted it, so after digging ourselves...

anyone been out around edson recently ?

(Mar 24th)The pipeline/powerline west of Silver Summit has 2-3 ft of snow with lots of powder, some smaller cutlines/trails have no tracks showing. Rode south to the Pepperhill cabin on the groomed trail which was all good except the southwest facing hills. Only saw 3 snowmobile trailers at...

anyone been out around edson recently ?

If anybody is into powder the area around Edson got about 2 feet of fresh snow. The only downside is that you need a 4X4 to go anywhere that is not plowed. (this includes all the side streets around town.)

anyone been out around edson recently ?

Staged by the Silver Summit road today and went north down the power line there is very little untouched powder but a lot of it is smooth and great for some high speed runs. We found some powder(1-2 ft) by taking off down some smaller cutlines.

anyone been out around edson recently ?

Did about 200km on Feb3,4 around Silver Summit 6" of fresh snow in the last week lots of snow to go anywhere. The only drawback is the amount of seismic activity going on.

    Cold lake area

To bad about the rain when I left the area on Sunday morning there was a couple inches of fresh snow on the ground and it was still coming down hard. Hopefully the trails will have survived, I hope to make one more trip up there this year.

    Cold lake area

For anyone interested in the Cold Lake area I spent Jan26,27,28 staging from Crane Lake and put on about 200km going down trails between Crane, Tucker and Bourque lakes. The lakes have up to 4 inches of snow with many ice patches with Crane Lake having some ice heaves by the island. The...
