Question: What prevents some from purchasing a snowmobile club membership

It goes directly to the club and is based on cost recovery. The fee is set by Government and mandated that it must be reinvested in the trail it was collected on.

Question: What prevents some from purchasing a snowmobile club membership

If you think we are not losing areas take a minute to go slide the map on the Yellowstone to Yukon map at https://y2y.net/vision/our-progress. That is a 20 year gain for them and they have increased it significantly since 2013.

Question: What prevents some from purchasing a snowmobile club membership

Trish I appreciate this thread and the honestly shared. From my perspective one of the issues we have in BC is that we have a strong "it is our right" to ride mentality. People believe that it is crown land and they should be able to do it for free. Even though we have lost a huge percentage...

Question: What prevents some from purchasing a snowmobile club membership

Thanks for posting Maxwell...though as you have found out, I do have to correct. Not all clubs offer the ability for you to only buy a membership. In fact almost no clubs do offer this membership type...VARDA being one of the few that does. Most clubs offer only a membership in their local...

Save our sledding areas. BCSF Needs our help.

Thanks for the vote of confidence :) the BCSF is not in trouble. We may not have the money we need to complete our campaign...or let's be honest the first thing on the list...the economic impact study. But the BCSF is managed with strict budgets to ensure that we can meet our obligations...

If you ride in BC please take this survey!

Thanks everyone for the feedback...some of it was obviously harsh but still read. I hope that the people that called all BCSF people a bunch a a*&holes don't actually know me or the Volunteers that work hard to be a voice for sledders in BC and are making assumptions:) I am sorry for the...

    Yelling at booth attendants????

Just want to add to this...These people are employees or volunteers. The parking lot or booth is their worksite. That does not give anyone the right to yell at them and violence in the workplace is taken very seriously. RCMP should be called and these instances should be reported. Powder...

    BCSF provincial membership "draft proposal".

I obviously do not get on here often enough. Last time I checked back nothing...a few weeks on the road and bam so far behind I will have to write a book :) I love the discussion going on and believe that it is all relevant. More clarifications from me... Membership vs Seasons Pass...For...

    BCSF provincial membership "draft proposal".

This a great discussion guys and gals. Sorry I have not responded sooner but was prepping for the Edmonton show and compiling the first round of feedback received from clubs on the draft plan for a Provincial Membership Permit (PMP). There is lots of great ideas in here and some of them were...

Moved again! Need to find new fellow riders.

On another thread in this section there is a guy from Squamish that just moved as well that is looking for a very similar riding buddy...Maybe you guys can connect. I would also recommend that you join a club to meet some people. There are several in the Sea to Sky, Chilliwack and near Manning.

    New member from Squamish

I would recommend joining one of the clubs in the Sea-to-Sky (Black Tusk (Squamish), Powder Mountain (Whistler) or the Pemberton Club). It is always a great way to meet a riding buddy and get out with other people that love to snowmobile. It will be amazing riding in the sea to sky.

    Fort Nelson Snowmobile Club

I am looking for people to revitalize the Fort Nelson Snowmobile Club. Last year they called a meeting twice and no one came. One person cannot do it alone. This club has a cabin, a groomer, and some $$ in the bank to complete some projects. It just needs some people interested in running...
