The engine runs fine and you can start it with the electric start and it’s fine. It’s something in the recoil I just can’t figure out what part it is. What makes the mechanism in the recoil move over so it catches the dog on the engine?

i am having trouble with my recoil. it pulls out and recoils fine. but when you pull out on the rope it doesn't turn the engine over. i pulled it off and everything looks fine and i cleaned and lubed it up. Not sure what is worn or broken everything seems fine. guess my question is what springs...

A friend of mine found that I had put a k&n type air filter on it and when you do that it gets way more air and either need to put a bigger jet in or put the stock air box back on.

When I completely un hook it. It won’t run. I took the 2 screws out of it and it did change a thing. I also checked the switch in the throttle to make sure it was working as well. sea foam did not fix it either.
